TekPlus has
recently advised one of the largest IT and Services Company on their
strategy in developing solutions for the mobile markets. In addition to
the overall strategy, the clients key need was "how to create and
develop the newly emerging Mobile Security Market" from a solution
provider view point. TekPlus not only provided strategic guidance on
creating the value chains and ROI's but also advised on creating
Eco-System partners and how to leverage these partners.
Below is an outline of the value proposition we provided; Background The client had a number of core competencies in delivering mobile security solutions to end-users, with most focus on the b2b market, working primarily with service providers. The client wanted to better understand how to deliver end-to-end mobile solutions, to limit security risks and required assistance in adding such a solution to its portfolio. Solution We tailored a process for our client to implement, providing logical and manageable steps for the client to follow. We determined best practices for the client to follow, this included assessing internal core competencies and searching for external expertise to fill in the gaps both in terms of providing embedded mobile and back-end security and the provision of centralised security management solution. TekPlus provided advice on partnerships to form and with whom. Our Proposition We were able to assess the product offerings of potential partners to provide our client with an end-to-end mobile security solution. TekPlus then provided support to the company to manage its partners and to deliver end-to-end mobile security solutions to its customers.
