Parul has been with TekPlus for over five years now. During this time she has moved from an Industry Consultant to heading the HealthCare-IT vertical for TekPlus. She has advised numerous leading Healthcare-IT vendors on strategy and direction and has been the lead analyst for HIS and PACS. Having introduced our Healthcare subscriptions and published a number of reports on integrated Healthcare in Europe she is now focusing her attentions on advising and analysing the Asian and the American markets. Her recent study was to talk with over a hundred IT Managers and senior executives of health institutions to understand their needs, their spending plans and how they regarded the various vendors, their brands, etc.

Parul also manages all of TekPlus’ strategic consulting projects and publications for the HealthCare-IT vertical.

During her time with TekPlus, Parul has covered areas of Hospital Information Systems, Clinical Systems, Laboratory Systems, Patient Data Systems, Biotechnology, Primary Care IT and Hospital Communications and Bio-Terrorism. She has written the previous editions of European & North American HIS and PACS reports as well as the end-user analysis report on integration of FIS with PAS. In addition Parul also covers Mergers and Acquisitions activities in the Life Science area and is a keen observer of the direction of that particular market.

Parul started her career working as a microbiologist in the Pathology department of Nanavati Hospital, one of the largest and most respected hospitals in Mumbai. She worked her way up to the senior microbiologist level and after a number of years ended up as head of the sub-department. Her previous areas of experience include Haematology, Bacteriology, Immunology, Histopathology, Parasitology and Biochemistry.
