The company has made an early move towards integrated HIS with its Soarian solutions and is already creating the right partnerships and eco-systems. The group needs to fortify its strong base in Europe and build deeper relationships in the states. Increasingly looking at newer markets will open greater opportunities but the company will have to add strong local partners. Siemens Medical urgently needs to plan and articulate its vision as integration extends towards primary healthcare. Its major rivals have increased their focus and are developing strategies for end-to-end integrated Healthcare. (iHCS as TekPlus calls it). If Siemens Medical can lead this vision, the group would move towards an extremely solid position globally.
