The recent acquisitions of technologies like CAD and VIPArchive and companies like Algotec and PacticeWorks show vision and need to mature into integrated offerings. It has a good partnering strategy in place especially in storage and this needs to expand to other technologies. To make most of its inheritance the group needs to articulate a greater vision and architecture in Healthcare-IT and has a opportunity to do so with its development of HCIS- It needs to understand the wider implications of iHIS.
