Eclipsys develop and license proprietary software (that automates administration, financial and clinical functions) to hospitals. Last year brought mixed results for Eclipsys – although its latest version of the software SunriseXA highlighted issues regarding ‘response time’ as well as ongoing net losses, the company is gaining strong brand recognition and recorded its highest revenue in FY2003. TekPlus believes Eclipsys has a promising future despite its financial losses mainly because of its strategy to promptly resolve the ‘response time’ issues and to develop resources around its Knowledge Division.  We also observe Eclipsys’s continued commitment to develop solutions based on the .Net architecture and its partnerships with Microsoft and iSoft, which have the potential to bring many new opportunities for the company.
